Job Description

We are currently looking for a Back-End Software Engineer. You will be responsible for building the server-side of our web-oriented solutions, translating our company and customer needs into functional and appealing interactive applications.

Required Skills:

Algorithmic mind
Good theoretical knowledge of computer science (words like patterns, recursion, pointer, stack, tree structure etc shouldn't frighten you)
3+ year of professional, relevant experience
Excellent knowledge of Java language (JMM and threading model included)
Good experience with a well-known infrastructural framework (Spring Framework, Vert.x, Micronaut etc)
Solid understanding of software engineering techniques, methodologies and practices (OOP, algorithmic problem solving skill)
Good understanding of client-server application principles, network applications and protocols, such as
Experience working with relational and noSQL databases and ORM frameworks
Experience with an enterprise-grade queues such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS
Experience integrating with external APIs (REST, GraphQL etc)
Experience of writing unit tests
Spoken technical English.

Will be a Plus:

Experience of performance optimization of an existing solution (DB optimization and concurrency optimizations are included)
Knowledge of any other backend programming language (e.g. Python, Go, Rust)
Understanding of domain-driven development principles (DDD)
Experience with deployment of back-end applications (e.g. Docker, Terraform, Ansible, AWS (Lambda, IoT), CI/CD)
Fluent English.
